We are allowed to write to anyone who’s caught our eye so far.As the other daters cover each other in bright pink compliments, I speak to Adam, a social entrepreneur whose fascination with silence and intimacy gave him the inspiration to set up Shhh Dating.The organiser, Lucy Baker, stands up and explains what the evening entails. Then he looks down at the floor and stays like that for what seems like an eternity.
“What I’m really interested in is the potential of silence”, he tells me.
