When we started developing our BLG Performance Report Generator and SPASS – System Performance and Sizing Site we knew the time we put into researching and identifying the best performance counters to track would allow our products to be utilized by the majority of Windows Administrators.
Microsoft® Description – % Processor Time is the percentage of elapsed time that the processor spends to execute a non-Idle thread.
It is calculated by measuring the percentage of time that the processor spends executing the idle thread and then subtracting that value from 100%.
Once the vendor updated their program to utilize more CPUs, the performance increased dramatically with an application “cluster”.
The Physical Memory Statistics Graph shows the available Performance Counters for everything that consumes “Physical Memory” on a Windows® Server.
It is equal to the sum of memory assigned to the standby (cached), free and zero page lists.
